Scotland refuses to be summed up. There are castles standing on the shores of lochs, heather moors turning purple, fishing villages along the Fife coast, and a light that changes ten times in the same hour. This 12-day tour crosses it with a French-speaking guide, from Glasgow to Edinburgh by way of the Highlands.
You visit Stirling, where independence was fought for, then pass the Kelpies, two 30-metre steel horse heads. The road then climbs past Loch Lomond and through the Glencoe valley to Fort William. A full day is devoted to the Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle, with a stop at the Glenfinnan Viaduct that Harry Potter fans will recognize.
Loch Ness is discovered by boat, before Culloden, Fort George and a sheepdog demonstration. Scone Palace, a whisky distillery and St Andrews, the home of golf, come before two nights in Edinburgh, its Royal Mile and its castle.

Connecting flights to Edinburgh.
Edinburgh – Glasgow (2 nights). Welcome by your French-speaking guide and transfer to Glasgow for a panoramic tour. Hotel check-in and welcome dinner. (D)
Glasgow – Stirling – Falkirk. Visit of Stirling Castle, then the Kelpies, 30-metre steel horse sculptures, and the Falkirk Wheel, a rotating boat lift. (B)
Loch Lomond – Glencoe – Fort William (2 nights). Scenic drive through Loch Lomond National Park and across the Glencoe valley. Arrival in Fort William, at the foot of Ben Nevis. (B, D)
