Prague – Cesky Krumlov – Vienna. Early departure for the medieval village of Cesky Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and guided walking tour of the town and its monastery. Budapest. Panoramic tour between the hills of Buda and the plains of Pest, then along the river, facing the parliament above the Danube. Vörösmarty Square glows with lights and offers the best of Hungarian craft, with the giant Advent calendar on the facade of the Gerbeaud café. Bratislava. Morning of sailing. The ship passes the Gabcikovo dam, one of the largest on the Danube, and skirts the protected Dunajské luhy park, a marshland that ranks among the region's most important nesting areas for rare birds. Panoramic tour up to Bratislava Castle, then a walking visit of the old town: Michalská street, Michael's Gate and the old city hall. The main square hosts the Christmas market, its pottery and its blown glass. Gala evening and overnight sailing to Vienna. (B, L, D)
