Greece is first read in stone. This 14-day tour begins at the foot of the Acropolis, then heads down into the Peloponnese: the Corinth Canal, the Lion Gate of Mycenae, the stadium of Olympia where it all began. Next comes Delphi, which the Ancients considered the navel of the world, before reaching Meteora, its monasteries perched atop rock pillars.
Then the trip changes pace. Six nights in the Cyclades, between Paros with its fishing port and white lanes, a day in Mykonos down to Little Venice, and Santorini with the blue domes of Oia and its caldera.
A tour escort travels with the group from start to finish, with a guide for the mainland and an assistant on the islands. Most meals are included, among them a lunch at an olive oil mill and a farewell dinner with ouzo and folk songs.

Itinerary
Flights to Athens.
Athens (2 nights). Welcome and panoramic city tour: Panathenaic Stadium, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Arch of Hadrian, Constitution Square, National Library and Omonia Square. Check in at the hotel. (D)
Athens. Guided visit of the Acropolis. The rest of the day is free. (B)
Athens – Corinth Canal – Mycenae – Olympia. Photo stop at the Corinth Canal, guided visit of Mycenae (Lion Gate, Cyclopean walls, Treasury of Atreus), then an olive oil mill with tasting and lunch. Drive to Olympia. (B, L, D)
Olympia – Delphi. Visit of the Olympia site and museum. Crossing of the bridge linking the Peloponnese to the mainland, then arrival in Delphi. (B, L, D)
Delphi – Kalambaka. Visit of the Delphi site: Sanctuary of Apollo, Athenian Treasury, Omphalos, theatre and archaeological museum. Drive to Kalambaka. (B, L, D)
Kalambaka – Athens. Visit of two Meteora monasteries, lunch in Kalambaka, then a stop at the Thermopylae monument. Arrival in Piraeus. (B, L)
Piraeus – Paros (3 nights). Ferry to Paros. Walking tour of Parikia, its old port and Venetian Kastro, then free time in Naoussa, a fishing village. Check in at Aliki. (B, L, D)
Paros – Mykonos – Paros. Ferry to Mykonos and stroll through the white old town, to the windmills and Little Venice in Alefkandra. Free time and return to Paros. (B, D)

Paros – Santorini (3 nights). Ferry to Santorini. Stroll through Oia to the viewpoint over the three blue domes. Check in at Akrotiri. (B, L)
